Happy New Year everyone! I recently celebrated my 26th birthday and it feels GOOD to say I’m another year older! Some women hate exposing their age as they get older, but not I–I am THANKFUL. Being 21 was fun and all but there’s nothing more appealing than growth and wisdom. I have so much more to look forward to now, and I am ready to just move FORWARD in life. During my early 20’s it was all about experimenting and trying new things—now that I’m in my late 20’s, I realized that it’s actually the time to LIVE. I am not going to let one simple failure stop me from pursuing the key to happiness. In life, you have to understand that you don’t have to get it all together! You are a work in progress, continue trying and continue to learn. My motto: LIVE, laugh, love, eat and pray!
Last night was an amazing night–we (my sister and I) decided to do something different for New Years Eve. Instead of going to church, we took the time to create a Vision Board for 2016. This was actually my first time in a long time ever creating a REALISTIC one. Noticed how I emphasized the word “realistic”–before my vision was limited and small. I didn’t PUSHING myself higher and remained on the bottom, while trying to follow other people’s ways of playing it “safe”. But that was a few years ago–I have to give myself credit, last year was the year I finally gave my ALL and wholeheartedly expressed ME. I set short/long term goals and was determined to show some progress–but most of all, I stopped letting FEAR get in my way. I woke up one morning with one thing on my mind: “Get things DONE”, whatever tasks I had, I needed to JUST DO IT and get it done EFFICIENTLY. It didn’t matter how long it was going to take me to finish, as long I had a plan–everything was going to fall in place. Procrastination was and still is a very bad habit for me but I’m managing to better myself as each day goes by. I don’t know if I’m the only one fighting it, but I’m going to make it my priority to BREAK the habit of being a procrastinator! I’m claiming this year like every year: It ‘s MINE. Speak it into existence and claim it!
I present to you my 2016 Vision Board:
